Marketfolk began in Bristol with a simple observation: good makers and good markets often struggle to find each other at the right moment.
What we are building
Marketfolk helps organisers find the right makers, invite proven traders, sell available pitches and recover from cancellations. Makers get relevant opportunities and one reusable profile instead of another disconnected form.
What we are not building
We are not trying to become a complicated event-management system. Floor plans, staffing and generic ticketing can remain with the tools organisers already use. Our focus is the local maker network and the booking journey around each pitch.
Starting honestly
The South West Founding Circle is deliberately small. Researched markets are labelled as spotted until an organiser confirms the details and available pitches. Nothing is presented as a partnership before that happens.
